Unfortunately, after the first tests, many technical problems were detected in the supercharger of the turbo and in the crankshaft of the engine, which caused a new project to be immediately started, called \"244\", capable of developing 1500 HP.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe first three prototypes built with this new engine gave rise to the well-known FA-1.\u003cbr\u003eIndustrial stylist Ray Stevenson designed the general external shape, and the first 37 locomotives could be sold to Gulf Mobile \u0026amp; Oil Co.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe FA-1 was modified from its original version DL-208 to DL-208A, DL-208B to DL-208C, and later continued with the FA-2 version.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe first twelve exported locomotives came to E.F.
