Nightwing is the second heroic identity of Dick Grayson, the first Robin. As a child, Dick was a circus trapeze artist alongside his parents, the "Flying Graysons", but after seeing them die in an accident staged by criminals, he was adopted by Bruce Wayne who identified with the boy's tragedy. Trained by Wayne, who revealed himself as Batman to the young man, Dick began his fight against crime as Robin, the boy wonder, Batman's partner. As an adult, as leader of the Teen Titans group, to prove his independence and individuality, Dick leaves the Robin identity to take on the name Nightwing, starting to act as a hero independent of Batman. In the game Arkham Knight, Nightwing works alongside Tim Drake, the third Robin and Catwoman, where they help Batman, knocking out enemies together.
