The DS 1200x4 2 ohm amplifier module was carefully designed to suit the most varied automotive sound systems.
With 1200 watts of power distributed over 4 channels of 300 watts rms 2 ohms, and also has the possibility of bridge connection with 2 channels of 600 watts rms 4 ohms.
It can be used to amplify subwoofer, woofer, mid-bass, mids, mid-treble and treble.
In addition, it has the traditional RCA inputs, gain adjustment and fixed crossover (hpf, lpf and full), characteristic of Taramps products.
Due to its diversity, the ds1200 can be installed to amplify door and bonnet speakers in cars, trucks, pickup trucks, SUVs, motorcycle advertising boxes, 2-way kit, 4-way kit, coaxial, triaxial, quadriaxial, 4-inch, 5 inches, 6 inches, 6x9 inches, 5x7 inches, trio boxes, bob boxes, horn boxes, residential boxes, horn boxes, drivers, driver boxes, among others.
Versatility, efficiency and quality in a single product.
Technical specifications:
• Operation class: class d.
It is the construction indication of an amplifier, class d (also called digital) due to the pwm (pulse width modulation) used in its operation, it allows a small, efficient amplifier with reduced heating compared to other construction classes .
• Number of channels: 04.
Number of channels to use in your project, with this specific model you have the option of connecting with 4, 3 and 2 channels.
• Power @12.6v – 2 ohms, stereo: 4 x 300 watts rms.
The power with a voltage of 12.6 volts is related to the operation of the vehicle/power source.
• Power @12.6v – 4 ohms, bridge: 2 x 600 watts rms.
The power with a voltage of 12.6 volts is related to the operation of the vehicle/power source.
• Minimum stereo output impedance: 2 ohms.
Association with the speaker result, where, for example, we can connect two 4 ohm speakers per channel for this result.
• Minimum bridge output impedance: 4 ohms.
Association with the result of speakers, where, for example, we can connect two 8 ohm speakers per channel (bridge) or just one 4 ohm speaker for this result.
• Minimum input sensitivity: 250mv.
Lower voltage required for maximum results with the amplifier, that is, with low volume on the radio, we will achieve good results.
• Frequency response: (full range): 9hz ~ 27khz(-3db).
With the frequency response it is possible to identify the application of the amplifier, so if the speaker or any other type of transducer you are using is understood within this response, it means that we can use that product in your project.
• Fixed crossover low pass (lpf): 90hz.
Lpf or low pass filter (term in English) means low pass filter, that is, it allows everything below this reference to be reproduced and what is above this indication will not be used, a common use of this function is to reduce the presence of voice on subwoofers.
• Fixed high pass crossover (hpf): 90hz.
HPF or high pass filter (term in English), means high pass filter, that is, it allows everything above this reference to be reproduced. The common use of this function is to reduce the presence of bass in door speakers, for example.
• Supply voltage: 9 to 16v.
It is the operating indication of the amplifier where it will have the minimum and maximum voltage for its operation, outside of this specification it will not turn on or activate protection.
• Consumption at rest: 1.8a.
This is the reference for the consumption of the amplifier turned on and without music.
• Maximum musical consumption: @12.6vdc: 67.5a.
This is the estimated consumption of the amplifier working at the minimum impedance playing music at maximum volume.
• Maximum consumption in sinusoidal signal: @12.6vdc: 135a.
Reference for bench/laboratory tests under specific conditions with resistive load, fixed frequency and stable power supply.
• Protection system: thermal and output short.
This system exists to protect the operation of the amplifier. It can be related to the output, when we have connections below the minimum impedance, a short circuit in the installation or even speakers with problems.
This protection may also occur due to voltages outside the operating range, or even thermal protection that occurs due to conditions in which the amplifier heats up above normal.
• Dimensions: width 18.2cm x height 5.2cm x depth 28.1cm.
Extreme product dimensions
• Weight: 2.1kg.
Gross weight of the amplifier.
